Confessions of a Junk Food Addict.

This is yesterday's post. We spent the whole evening at the beach and by the time we got home I was too tired to write. So here it is ...

Bad news for yesterday. My junk food addiction got the best of me. Summer time is a difficult time to want to loose weight, there's lunch dates, beach food, ice cream desires etc. Well yesterday I had a lunch date planned with my sister. We chose Swiss Chalet. Has anyone had Swiss Chalet's french fries? And their gravy?! YUM! I started off on the wrong foot in the morning by only having a small tangerine for breakfast which meant by lunch I was `starving'! So I indulged a little bit; with chicken, french fries and gravy. Diet pepsi to drink. (still haven't allowed myself a regular pepsi which I am so very proud of!) After lunch we had to pick up some things at metro, I decided it would be nice to bring my other sister a treat. I purchased her a monster (her fave) and an aero (my fave). Do you really think I could only buy one for her and not me as well. Nope. I bought myself one too. As I sat there eating it, feeling oh so guilty. Didn`t even enjoy it!

I decided I was going to go to the beach for the late afternoon or early evening. I began getting ready with a million and one things to prepare for two babies and myself, I forgot to hide the evidence of my guilty pleasure. I left the aero wrapper right on the coffee table where Josh, who has been so great at keeping me accountable would find it.

We were going to be at the beach for dinner and I didn`t think of that as organized as I am. So I didn`t pack a healthy picnic basket of delicious items for dinner. Even though I wish I could tell you all I did. Instead I called Josh and asked him to pick up some pizza slices and a diet drink for me.

As you can tell my diet was TOTALLY blown yesterday, and today is weigh-in! Well, we will see how it goes.

Here`s a list of what I ate yesterday:

Breakfast - 1 small tangerine.
Lunch - 2 small chicken legs, fries & gravy and a diet pepsi.
Snack - 1 aero bar (:()
Dinner - 2 slices of 241 pizza: meatlovers & brushetta, can of diet sprite.
Snack - 1 bottle of Auquafina Grape water

Better try next time ...

  2. I started doing the Dukan diet and lost 5lbs in the first 4 days. Maybe something like that is the motivation you'd need to stick with it long term?

I bought the book at Chapters (33% off right now) and have found it really helpful in explaining the whole program and weight loss in general. Lots of tips and recipes. Give it a try!
