So I was in Sault Ste. Marie this weekend and had a ton of opportunities to binge out on junk food, pop and fattening foods but if I do say so myself, I did pretty darn well! Friday night we had dinner plans with a couple of friends and I tried to order one of the healthier items on the menu, a chicken wrap with a salad. This was my first step in starting things off right. Saturday though was filled with a million and one temptations for me to attempt at turning down. Pepsi is my weakness, it's kind of like a fourth love for me (after the husband & babies of course) and on Saturday my in-law's house was filled with pepsi! Josh and his dad and brothers were building a deck all weekend and in order to stay hidrated and cool their beverage of choice was pepsi. I opened up the fridge to get a glass of water and there were two ice cold cans of pepsi. If that wasn't tempting enough a little while later my father-in-law walked in the house with four 2L bottles of pepsi, I almost died. Later on that afternoon I had a BBQ to go to at a friend's cottage and of course more pop. As much as diet pepsi is still not healthy for you I resorted to it in order to stay away from the pepsi. Felt like a cheater but I figure it was a little bit of a better choice.
For my two goals I set for myself on Thursday I did really well with drinking water. I drank a lot more than I usually do. Still haven't quite decided what program I am following, just focussing on continuing to eat healthy and be a little more active.
I snacked a bit too much today which made me realize I need to eat a little more for breakfast than a small yougurt cup.
So here's what I ate today:
Breakfast - 1 Small strawberry yogurt cup.
Lunch - A small bowl of soup and 5 salted top crackers.
Snack - A 100 calorie 'Nutter bar'.
2nd Snack - Veggies and dip.
3rd Snack (Told ya) - An english muffin with peanut butter.
Dinner - A small hamburger and a cup of shrimp.
So for tomorrow I plan to have a bit of a larger breakfast so I don't feel the need to snack so much during the day! Two more days til my first weigh in! Can't wait to see how it goes.
